Do you spend just as many hours on the move as in the office? Then the Surge backpack is ideal. To start with, it's made from durable recycled nylon ripstop so doesn't need to be handled with care. Thanks to moulded shoulder straps, a padded back panel and its FlexVent™ suspension system, it's comfortable to carry - even when fully loaded. The 31-litre volume is made up of a large main compartment, a front compartment with a padded tablet sleeve and zipped pockets, and a laptop sleeve. And if you like to get out and hike at the weekends, the (removable) waist belt, sternum strap and two external water bottle pockets will come in pretty handy.

Good product - but has weaknesses

I brought this backpack when I wore out my previous Recon backpack (after 6 years of daily use!) I've been using it for a coupleof years, and while it has been a good bag, it has started to develop a problem with stitching on the shoulder straps starting to come apart (so I may be in the market for a new one soon). - I love the laptop + tablet compartments. - Good to have space for kit/shopping in the middle compartment. - I keep little used stuff in the lower/front pockets. It's there if I need it, but out of the way otherwise. - the front/top pockets is very useful for keys, headphones, glasses, etc. However it is quite floppy, and tends to be a problem when you open the middle compartment.
